He used to defend insurance companies. Now he knows the adjusters, the doctors, and the judges.

Steve Mortimer spent the early part of his career as insurance defense counsel. For more than twenty-five years he has tried civil cases, and today he represents people hurt through someone else’s negligence.

Insurers know he tries cases. That is the firm’s statement of how we work, not a promise about any result: every case turns on its own facts.

Insurance companies often ask for a recorded statement soon after an accident. Talk to a lawyer before you give one. We can help protect your rights, organise the evidence and make sure your medical care and expenses are documented.

A claim can include medical bills your insurance does not cover, such as emergency care, ambulance fees and physical therapy, as well as lost wages, household services, property damage, and pain and suffering.
